Hello to parents and other visitors to this site.
Burntwood J & I School is a small friendly school, where every individual
child is accepted and cared for.
Our greatest resource is our dedicated staff team, who know all the children
well and work hard to create a stimulating environment where children
feel happy, safe, motivated to learn and encouraged to develop.
We also have a Board of Governors who give excellent service to the school,
making continued improvements to make sure our children get the
best quality opportunities we can provide.
We are part of a wider community and as such we seek
to serve the needs of pupils families and link with
other organisations. We strive to offer opportunities
for parents and other adults to join our learning
community by organising adult classes and other
information and support opportunities.
We also depend on our families and the local community
for support. By working together we can improve and
enhance our children’s lives now and in the future.
Children are the future so we take pride in providing
them with the best foundation we can to their life long learning.
What we do now will matter for the rest of your child’s life,
so even the smallest detail is very important. For this
reason we welcome your comments and try to respond
quickly to any concerns you have. These contributions
help us as we continuously strive to improve.
Special message for pupils
We hope you enjoy being part of Burntwood School.
School is like being in a big family where you have
lots of adults looking after you and lots of other
children to make friends with. We all try to help each other,
be kind and fair to each other. What rules we have
are to help make things safe and fair for all.
If you need help or you have something to say we try to give
you ways to do that. All we ask you to do is
try to do your best.
We try to notice everything you do well or make an effort with.
If you set a good example you will be mentioned
in our “Good Example” Assemblies so that everyone
gets to know how well you are doing.
We hope you have a good time at school and learn
as much as you can.
